Playground
Enjoy the new destination playground at the Crosby Memorial Park. (Pictured above) The park offers great fun for younger kids. Go for a swim at Serpent Lake Park located next to the playground. Enjoy the gorgeous sand beach and crystal clear waters that make this one of the finest public beaches in the entire area!

Hallet Community Center
Also, if the weather is bad, head to the Hallett Community Center. A 75 foot lap pool and warm water children's' pool with waterslide for indoor fun! Call 218-546-2616 for open swimming times and rates.

Cuyuna Range Soo Line Museum
The walls of the Soo Line Museum are filled with local history and artifacts of life changing historical events which include the Milford Mine Disaster where 41 miner lost their lives.
The first ever manned space exploration was launched from Portsmouth Mine.
Step inside a life size replica of a space gondola that Air Force Major Dr. Simons rose above earth in. You can sit inside and immediately feel the impressive dedication it must have taken to accomplish the 32 hour flight.
The Cuyuna Range Historical Museum is open Memorial Day to Labor Day, Tuesday - Saturday from 10AM to 4PM.

Deerwood Depot Park & Visitor Center

Don't Miss the Photo Op on Highway 210 in Deerwood next to the 8 Point Buck.
Many stories have been written about touring the country roads in search of the larger than life Roadside Attractions. The Deerwood Deer is one not to miss.
The 1871 Northern Pacific Station House offers visitor information, historic artifacts and kiosks, picnic tables and a great gathering place for a quick stop or a leisurely stop. Plenty of parking is available.
Cross Country Skiing

Over 188 kilometers of groomed cross-country ski trails including:
- French Rapids (behind Brainerd Airport)
- Larson Lake Multi-Purpose Trail System, Deerwood
- Wolf Lake Muti-Purpose Trial System, Brainerd
- Paul Bunyan Conservation Cross-Country Ski Area (Arboretum), Brainerd
Horseback Riding

- Larson Lake Multi-Purpose Trail System, Deerwood

Skateboard Park
On the east end of the Serpent Lake park in Crosby hosts a skateboard park next to the city offices.
Jessie Hallett Memorial Library
Jessie Hallett Memorial Library in downtown Crosby offers extensive resources for kids and adults alike. Computers with internet access are available at the library.
Croft Mine Museum
Travel back in time with a visit to the Croft Mine Historical Park or the Cuyuna Range Historical Museum. The Croft Mine Pit tour is very educational for all ages.
